Summit Village and Waterfront Project...
Yesterday afternoon, I visited the Summit Village (located at the Waterfront) which is part of the whole tantana for the participants and visitors for the Fifth Summit of the Americas.
... is ah good ting you take pictures yes gyul .... cuz is since yesterday I tryin tuh reach (tuh do de same ting) .... doh know if I'll go again tho .... cuz ah hear today was real tizzickness down dere ....
AC thanks for posting these pictures. As much as this is a "best side" to the world (well, the Americas for this rounds, mostly), I really believe T&T citizens must really, really take pride in their surroundings. I wish all of Port of Spain (San Fernando is just a tad better at this time) looked like this. Yes, the Parliament must always have rigorous debates on the best uses of the national resources, but encouraging civic pride and respect for where one live should never be cynical.
I love your pictures, and I hope (budget willing; almost did this year) to stay at the Hyatt for the long Carnival weekend, 2010.
Scene girl, de Village and Waterfront looking REAL nice...yuh need tuh see dat up close and personal!
You are very welcome Dougs ;) I wish all of TRINIDAD looked like this!
If yuh see Trinis taking pics like tourists (myself included!) I feel Botanical Gardens and President's House will get leave out for wedding pictures and ting...it go be the Waterfront from now on!
