Pics of the Oval

Shhh...
We were not supposed to take pictures of the Oval during our tour, but it was looking SO SWEET ah tief ah lil ting...

All the stands have been decked off and draped in the ICC Cricket World Cup banners, so no more BG/Scotiabank Stand, CARIB Stand, CLICO etc.

This is the view from the QPCC Members Stand.

Party Stand in the far right of this pic.

Yes, Afro Chic, it is looking rel nice! While I was there for Carnival and after two weeks ago, I was real worried they wouldn't finish (I think they were almost working round the clock). If I am not mistaken the field looked dig up, dig up, just two weeks ago. Where did they get that miracle grow grass? LoL

So would you said the Oval really ready? Did you check out the wee wee facilities?

dougla they have been working round the clock.

But two weeks ago the field was just a nice as it is in that pic. The field has been ready for months now. Because sometime late last year we had a dry run in the Oval on the nice grass.

I would say the Oval is ready, because it's only 'soft' contruction as they call it to do still...lil painting and a godd hose down and we good to go.

Bathrooms in the Elizabeth street Stand are good to go, as well as the Members Stand and former CLICO stand.

But Afro Chic, they have the place looking nice man. Did they completely rebuild any stands, by the way?

Mani they completely rebuilt the Trini Posee Stand (now called the Party Stand and is not affiliated with Trini Posee for the duration of the CWC) and did MAJOR renovation work on the QPCC Members Pavillion.

All the others were renovated.
